About Lester Prairie...

Prairie Bus Service is located 45 miles west from the Minneapolis-St. Paul area in McLeod County and has been a 4.0 community since 1994.  This is where the 4.0 journey began. 

Lester Prairie was put on the map when the line for The Great Northern Railroad was built in December of 1886.  Its surrounding cities are Norwood Young America, Mayer, Glencoe, Silverlake and Watertown.  The Lester Prairie School District offers sports, band and choir, and other extra-cirricular activities to involve the students to be a part of the Bulldog's community.  Lester Prairie has a 95% graduation rate and also offers post-secondary options at a variety of different Colleges/Universities.
